Greater Erie Community Action Committee (GECAC) and the Multicultural Community Resource Center are working in partnership to bring volunteer tutoring services in adult education and English as a second language to the Erie community. Volunteer tutors are needed to work with adults to improve their reading, math, English and writing skills in order to pass the GED or gain the skills needed to get and keep a job.
Volunteers receive training, support and materials to assist them with their students. Volunteers must have at least completed a bachelor’s degree. For more information, please contact Tracy Short, tutor coordinator, at 451-5619 or via e-mail at tshort@gecac.org.
